2018 Undergraduate Research Symposium

"Connecting ACS With Industry"

The American Chemical Society (ACS) local sections of Chicago and Joliet hosted an undergraduate research symposium on the campus of Lewis University with a specific focus on industry connections. Framed around a student poster session and oral presentations, industry partners participated in two directed discussion panels. The first panel described a variety of industry careers, the second panel provided career advice for students interested in industrial positions. The day concluded with round table breakout sessions with the industry representatives in attendance, where students had the opportunity for further, more intimate discussion. A light breakfast and lunch was provided during the event.
