Dr. Lilia Abron is a chemical engineer who spent time at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Abron founded Peer Africa with the mission of building energy-efficient homes in post-apartheid South Africa, earning her the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists' 2012 Superior Achievement Award.
