The American Chemical Society tent at the Illinois State Fair needs volunteers to help perform chemistry demonstrations, conduct hands-on experiments, and maintain order in this energetic environment - which usually attracts OVER 10,000 VISITORS!

The tent is staffed by volunteers from various ACS sections in and around Illinois. There are three shifts per day, and approximately 6 to 8 people are required per shift.  Please join us in Springfield for a few hours or a few days.  If you can stay over night there are inexpensive hotels and a nice campground in Springfield.

The ACS will be at the Fair from Friday, August 12 through Saturday, August 19 in 2017, but we also need help August 8 and 9 for setup and the evening of August 19 to help take down our equipment and displays in the tent.
