    College of DuPage is located at the intersection of Fawell Boulevard and Lambert Road in Glen Ellyn, IL. The campus is accessible by driving south from Roosevelt Road or north from Butterfield Road on Park Boulevard or Lambert Road.
    From North/South: Take Inte rstate 294 (Tri -State Toll way), exit to westbound Interstate 88 (East- West Tollway) to Route 53. Drive nor th on Route 53 to Butterfield Road
    OR
    Take Interstate 355 (North-South Toll way). Southbound: exit on westbound Butterfield Road (Rt. 56). Northbound: exit to westbound Interstate 88 (East-West Tollway), then to Route 53. Drive north onRoute 53 to Butterfield Road (Rt. 56 ). See local map directions for further instructions.
    From East: Take westbound Interstate 290 (Eisenhower Expressway) to westbound Interstate 88 (East-West Toll way), exit on Route 53. Drive north on Route 53 to Butterfield Road (Rt. 56). See local map directions for further instructions.

    NCW Illustrated Poetry Contest

    The Chicago Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring an illustrated poetry contest for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Winners of the Local Section’s contest will advance to the National Illustrated Poetry Contest for a chance to be featured on the ACS website and to win more prizes!

    Contest Deadline: Monday, October 29th, 2018

    Prizes will be awarded to the winning entry in four age groups

    THEME = "Chemistry is Out of This World" (topics related to space)

    Public Transportation:  The closest CTA station is the Illinois Medical Center, Blue line. The CTA 50 (Damen) and 126 (Jackson) buses stop there. Harrison 7 is an alternative bus to reach the college.

    Driving: Damen Ave exit North from the Eisenhower (I-290) Expressway

    Parking: Free Parking available in the main garage off Jackson (East of Damen).

    Science Works! STEM Career Fair
    Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago

    From the MSI: Our annual Museum-wide career fair invites youth and families to learn about interesting jobs straight from the STEM professionals with an array of dynamic speakers, hands-on activities and one-on-one discussions. More than 100 professionals from over 40 companies and organizations are stationed throughout the Museum. 

    This event is free with Museum Entry. Science Works is presented in partnership with CBS 2.

    Community Activities Committee

    The Community Activities Committee organizes outreach events, including the local celebration of National Chemistry Week.  It helps coordinate and publicize Chemistry Week activities in the Chicago Section and work with the National Chemistry Week office as part of the overall outreach activities for the Section.  More info.
